Yeah, another stupid doodle.  After I drew it within two minutes I found it very hilarious .

An old Shadow the Hedgehog sketch

I realize that Shadow is missing his left arm.  Needless to say this drawing is incomplete, but I still want to share it.  I used a reference, obviously...

Drawing by Amethyst Anne, November 24 and December 18, 2001
Shadow the Hedgehog belongs to SEGA.

2001 was the year that I got the SEGA Dreamcast for the reason that I wanted to play Sonic Adventure 2.  The Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comic book series did a brief thing on SA2 in issue #98.  It is one of my very favorite issues of the comic book.   I ended up getting the Dreamcast with a Sonic Adventure Bundle (SA, Sonic Shuffle, and a demo of SA2).   By December 2001 I was about half done with finishing the game, and even though Shadow was a villian, he was growing on me, probably because he was a hedgehog like Sonic.  So I wanted to draw him.

I drew this picture during winter break from high school.  I'd feel bad drawing him when I'd have homework to do, so winter break was a nice time to do it.  :3  It took a few days; I left it and got back to it again.

Yay Shadow!!!   ^,^

Cyborg Haven Update: Jak and Daxter Artist Bob Rafei has a website!!

The following website has been added to my list of favorite websites:

Bob Rafei is the concept artist behind the Jak and Daxter series, one of my favorite video game fanchises for the PlayStation 2.  There is concept art and illustrations included in galleries for:
  • Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
  • Jak II
  • Jak 3
  • Jak X: Combat Racing
  • A couple of Crash Bandicoot titles
  • Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
I couldn't help it and had to look at the character art for Jak and Daxter: TPL and Jak II, and I love those galleries a whole lot!!  I have yet to look at the art for Jak 3 and Jak X.  Bob Rafei's artwork inspires me to want to draw my own artwork of Jak, but I don't know which Jak to start drawing.  I could start with Jak from the first game because he's Bambi-eyed and there are less details to worry about  :3  Plus which ever game he is in, he has a cute nose.  Why did I say that?  Maybe because I like the way Rafei draws his nose/nostrils.  0__O   Anyway, I got to know more of Rafei's art  years ago when I got the Jak 3 official strategy guide book.  The book features a lot of his art and I fell in love with it.  I didn't know he had the website back in 2004.  Now I know about it.  I'm so happy I stumbled upon it today!

So fans of Jak and Daxter series, if you love Bob Rafei's artwork, go check out his gallery website.  A lot of the pieces he did will surprise you, especially the very early concepts of Jak, what is called "Pre-Jak."  Wanna know what I'm talking about?  You'll see on page 2 of the gallery for Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.

I'll just say that I am very pleased with the way Jak finally turned out...   :3

This image is from the Jak 3 strategy guide.  I wanted
to include this here to give my readers an idea of what
Bob Rafei's art style is, at least for Jak 3.  To see more of
his artwork, check out http://www.bobrafei.com/home.htm .

Another Mega Man X Drawing...

Here is a drawing I did of Mega Man X a couple of days ago.  I was getting sleepy and I didn't want to take a nap too close to bedtime, so I drew him to stay awake and busy.

I used a #2 pencil for drawing, some colored pencils, and a mechanical pencil to outline the drawing after I finished coloring it.  It was my first attempt at practicing the shading technique on a drawing I did (besides art class in middle school).  I drew the left hand, but the scanner didin't allow it to be very visible.  I don't like the way the left hand turned out anyway.  The right hand is in Buster mode.  I did the best I could as a free-hand picture.  I generally love the way the picture turned out.  ^_____^

I still don't know if I want to join DeviantArt or not.

I Drew a Mega Man X

Well, it’s supposed to look like him. I went with my family to Outback Steakhouse for my birthday and when I got the box to take my leftovers home, I drew on the Styrofoam. It just had to be Mega Man X. I gave him a little dot for a nose.    :3

Mega Man X2 again…My sis defeated 4 bosses

A pic of X's extra-life item I drew two nights ago
with MS Paint.

The first hour, I played MMX to find any remaining capsule or health cap item.  I only found one health cap item.  It was in the underwater level with Launch Octopus.  After defeating the ship above the water’s surface, I wait for the ship to be at the bottom of the sea, and then I have X jump down.  To the right is a cave, and there are a few groups of instant-death spikes you have to jump over to get to the other side.  At the end is that robo-snake—the same sub-boss X has to fight before going to the boss.  I tried out the Storm Tornado against it and it beat the robo-snake right away.  Continue to the right of the cave and there is another little place within, where the health cap item waits.

Okay, now for MMX 2. My sister played that one.  I let her know before getting back to it that the boss Gator Wheel was weak against the Bubble weapon (the Crystal weapon won’t do sh**).  So it took some tries, but she defeated the gator and gained the Spin Wheel.  Man, I thought the bosses in the first game were hard.  Next she tried Morpho Moth in the Robot Junkyard level.  The level wasn’t too difficult, a good challenge, but Morpho Moth was impossible at the time.  She moved on to the Volcano level with Flame Stag.  She says the escape part (the one where X has to jump away from the rising lava) is the hardest part of that level, and she figured out how to do it.  There are a certain number of jumps to make before jumping to the other wall.  Some parts require one, some require two or three.  It took much trial and error.  This level is also where Sis got another health cap item, so now in this game X has two.  Flame Stag was weak against the Bubbles also, and she beat him with that.

BOSS                                    WEAPON

• Flame Stag----------------the Speed Burner

• Morph Moth--------------the Silk Shot

• Overdrive Ostrich--------the Sonic Slicer…uh oh, watch out, Sonic…=P

Sis used the Speed Burner against Morpho Moth for the first stage of the fight, and then the second stage of the fight she used the Bubbles. That health cap item certainly helped. When she had X fight the Overdrive Ostrich, she found out that it was weak against the Crystal attack because it freezes it and cracks. When she ran out of crystal power, she switched to the Speed Burner, and with one notch left on X’s health gauge, she defeated the Overdrive Ostrich.

We call the extra life items “Mega-Heads” because they are shaped like X’s head, and the face is frowning. It’s saying, “Please get me. Don’t resist my adorable-ness.” It would be funny if every time X picked up an extra life, there would be text on the bottom of the screen and it would say, “You got a Mega-Head.”

More crappy drawings, er, doodles o___0

I drew these on Christmas Eve cuz I was a bit down in the dumps.  I instantly turned my mood to "giddy" after I doodled on my current journal (using a regular pencil then a mechanical pencil the rest of the time):

Here's Zack Fair, my number 5.  Obviously this guy is
immune to the emo germs.  Please ignore
the little heart as the dot for the "i" in Fair.
Whoops.  Too late.

And here's my number 2, Vincent Valentine.  As you can see, it's not so good.  I think I drew his hair way too long.  I dunno if it's supposed to be that long.  But I like his expression:  he is lost in thought.  So nyaww.
Maybe I should start a DA account...?  N, naaah.

My funny Assassin's Creed drawing

For all you Assassin's Creed fans out there, I apologize in advance.  I had to draw a funny Assassin's Creed 2 picture.
I was in a GameStop store yesterday and there was a TV screen behind the counter.  It was playing trailers for different video games, and one of them was Assassin's Creed 2.  It was the ad that shows four faces of the men that the new assassin Ezio killed.  Next it shows his eyes, and then he blinks.  Then he turns around, and then you don't see his eyes, but you see his nose and mouth.
That's the thing, though.  Most of the time, you can't see his eyes (probably not supposed to), but his nose is out there.  I've seen this ad at least four times now.  I don't know if I would ever play this game, or if I want to.  But I'm interested in it because it takes place in Renaissance Italy, and Ezio gets to meet Leonardo da Vinci.  Stealth is not my favorite genre though, hmm.  Ehh.
Ezio Auditore.  I like his last name.  Au-dee-TOH-reh.  I like the sound of that.  Or at least, that's the way I would pronounce it as an Italian name.

This isn''t the drawing, of course.  This is an image
I scanned from the holiday issue of Playstation the
Official Magazine.  This is so you guys can
see why I had to make fun of Ezio... or the other
guy from the first Assassin's Creed.

So, here is the drawing I made myself do.
 Da da da daaaaa!

I'm terrible!  : D  : D  : D

My Crappy NiGHTS Art

Well, it isn't really art, it's just a NiGHTS doodle.  I drew it when I wanted my Thai food box to be distinguished from my other family members' boxes in the fridge (leftovers...heh).

What?  WHAAAT?   Don't look at meeeee....!!

A funny drawing

Hello,
I just thought I'd post this and share it with readers.  I used the  Microsoft Paint program to draw it about a few days ago.  Must've been in a silly mood. *.^

I love the expressions on the little dots as they see Pac-Man's hungry open mouth.  Especially the first one; he goes like  :O  .   Because he's first on the menu!
