Also, my sister got to Mega Man X3 THREE DAYS IN A ROW before I can blog about those sessions with our favorite video game robot. I really wanted to make detailed posts about these sessions, but seeing as it's been a week since I updated Cyborg Haven, I will have to condense them into one shorter post again.
Mega Man X is angry at me now...
So as punishment I will have to finish Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII this month once and for all (well it's not really a punishment but I've put it off for far too long, and I know some readers are itching to know how I experience finishing one of the best PSP titles ever). I have to write a detailed post about my response for that one. So without even further delay, here is an update on how my sis is doing on Mega Man X3:
Sunday night she was very close to finishing the game. But Sigma is a pain in the butt. In fact, I have been the one fighting Sigma in the first two Mega Man X games. She had no "Sigma experience" and she thought she would be alble to finish the game that night. It turned out she wasn't prepared. Not to mention that her thumb was tired and sore by the time she finally reached Sigma. All that wall-kicking tired out her thumbs.
It wasn't all frustration. Zero made a couple more apperances to help X out, and we sqeeeeealed with joy. (That's pretty much the only girly thing I do. Squeal.)
Also, aside from finding all the rest of the Armor Parts for X on the same day, she also came across the Pink Capsules, the ones that hold the Enhancement Chips. This is new; so there are eight capsules in total in this game. There are the Armor Chip, the Foot Chip, the Energy Chip, and the Arm Chip. However, the Dr. Light Hologram in the capsule said that X's body can only handle one enhancement chip. "Go into the capsule if you are sure you want this power." It took some thinking, and more playing, but eventually sis decided to get the Energy Chip. It is very helpful for filling up the tanks speedily when there aren't much energy pills to find. It was especially handy when X arrived at Dr. Doppler's hideout and had to fight him. That bastard healed himself every ten seconds or so. It is good to have all four Sub-Tanks full for that battle, and the fight against him is right after the second fight with the Maverick Bosses (or the Boss Rush, as YouTube's Clement calls it). That's why that Energy Chip is so cool...
Next, Sis is going to try something different. She will keep the Energy Chip for the first three stages of the Dr. Doppler Lab, but before she goes to the Sigma stage, she will see if she can have X get to the pink capsule that has the Arm Chip. I thought that whichever Enhancement Chip she chose, she was stuck with. But perhaps Dr. Light meant that X can handle one chip at a time. Why didn't Dr. Light say that if that's how it was supposed to be? It's worth a try. X can go back to the earlier stages at any time if he needs to return to the pink capsules. Against Sigma's Ultimate Battle Body, I think Sis has the right idea about getting the Arm Chip for this battle. If it will work; it has to.
